Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Trailhead Jobs ("we," "us"), operated by Trailhead Jobs LLC, collects when you use trailheadjobs.com (the "Site"), how we use it and the choices you have. We keep it simple: we collect only what we need to run the Site, and we never sell your information.
1. What we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: your email address and password. Passwords are stored in encrypted (hashed) form by our login provider; we can't see them.
- Agreement record: the date you agreed to our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy.
- Messages: anything you send us by email, such as questions or listing corrections.
- Reports: when you use "Job closed?" on a listing, we record which listing you reported and when.
Payment information
- When you buy the Trailhead Pass, Stripe processes your payment. Stripe collects your card details directly; we never see or store your full card number.
- We receive and keep your Stripe customer ID, your subscription status and your renewal date, so we know whether your Pass is active.
Information collected automatically
- Login cookies: small cookies that keep you signed in. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
- Basic technical data: like most websites, our hosting provider records standard information such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and to keep the Site working.
2. How we use it
- To create your account, sign you in and confirm your email;
- To process your Pass and manage your subscription;
- To send account, billing and service emails (for example, a confirmation link, a receipt or a notice about a change to our Terms);
- To check and fix job listings people report;
- To keep the Site secure and prevent abuse;
- To meet legal, tax and accounting requirements.
If we ever start a job alert email or newsletter, we'll only send it to people who sign up for it, and every email will have an unsubscribe link.
3. Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share it with advertisers or with employers listed on the Site. We share information only with service providers that help us run the Site, and only as much as they need:

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect the rights or safety of our users or others, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business (in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information).
When you click "Apply," you leave our Site and go to the employer's own website. Anything you share there is covered by that employer's privacy policy, not this one.
4. How long we keep it
We keep your account information while your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your account information within 30 days. We keep payment and transaction records as long as tax and accounting laws require (Stripe also keeps its own records).
5. Your choices and rights
- Access, correct or delete: email hello@trailheadjobs.com and we'll send you a copy of your information, correct it or delete your account.
- Cancel your Pass: cancel any time from your Account page.
- Emails: you can unsubscribe from any optional email. We'll still send required account and billing messages while your account is open.
Depending on where you live (for example, California or the European Union), you may have additional rights under local law. We honor those requests at the same email address, and we won't treat you differently for making one.
6. Security
We use trusted providers, encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password that you don't use anywhere else.
7. Age requirement
The Site is for people 16 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you believe a child under 16 has created an account, email us and we'll delete it.
8. Changes to this policy
If we make a significant change to this policy, we'll post the new version here, update the date above and email account holders.
